Co-applicants in research

Introductory

When using the term ‘co-applicant’ we mean an individual who is involved in the development of a funding application and, if funded, has some responsibility as part of the team for the management and/or delivery of the study. Public co-applicants can be valuable members of the research team, having an input into the development of the grant application and ensuring that the study remains centred on patients’ needs.

In this lesson we will explore how to embed and support co-applicants in research.

Role and Support of Public Co-Applicants

Presented by Jo Lally, NIHR Research Design Service (RDS) North East North Cumbria, and Annabel Haynes, Public Co-applicant E-CLAD at the RDS The Role of Public Co-applicants & PPI Leads in health and care research event on 24 November 2022.
